Our team will work with local building control; we will organise the building control inspections and final sign-off paperwork to ensure that your garage conversion adds measurable value to your home.

What are the benefits of having a garage conversion:

Garages have universally turned into dumping grounds for boxes, old toys, bikes, and damaged white goods. Let's face it, who parks a car in the garage anymore? There are a few measurable benefits of having a garage conversion:


  • Increase house value; our garage conversions, where required, include building control sign-off as standard. If you come to sell or re-mortgage, your new room will be classed as a fixed part of the dwelling.


  • Habitable space: why move when you can convert an underused space? The possibilities are endless. Our team have a saying, improve, not move. Doing this will save on moving costs, stamp duty and legal fees.


  • Garage conversions are usually half the cost of a typical brick-built extension. Including brickwork, windows, internal joinery, plastering, electrical, painting and flooring (a complete conversion). A single-story extension costs from £2400 - £3000 per SQM.

What does the process entail?

Our team offer a fully managed, done-for-you garage conversion process, including design & installation from start to finish. We will meet with building control, order skips, arrange our team of trades and keep you posted with updates:


We operate a simple five-step process.


After we have agreed on a cost/ quote.

Step 1 - Full design survey - You get to know your project manager and understand what you want from your space. We aim to see the project through your eyes and understand your vision. We can also use the opportunity to explain what goes into the processes so that nothing surprises you.

Step 2 - Building Control - We will meet with your assigned building control officer to discuss the project and understand any building control nuisances that form part of your project. As a client, you can be confident that the project is completed to the highest standards from the outset.

Step 3 - Construction phase - Your project manager will give you a weekly update on what has happened during the last week and what the project progress will look like for the week ahead. We will also keep you posted on completion dates and how the project is progressing against those.

Step 4 - Snagging, final sign off and deep clean - We invite building control in. Your project manager will do a 2-stage snagging process; only after this is complete will building control be invited to inspect the project and issue a sign-off certificate. The devil is in the detail.

Step 5 - Client handover – We give you all the required documentation (building control sign-off, electrical certificates and gas certificates where required), and we talk you through the space, ensuring you know how everything works.

The engineer arrived when promised and tidied up after himself when the job was completed. There was a small problem with the installation, but this was corrected without any fuss.

Building work always doubles from the original costs, runs over time, and you can’t trust what a builder says. 

We are upfront on costs; we don’t look to put a low cost in to win work and then put the price up halfway through. Any changes you make that affect cost will always be discussed upfront and put in writing for you to approve nothing is hidden. We aim to keep to the original budgets set at the design meeting.

Timescales are updated in real-time on our project management software, so we will see them coming if we have delays. As we run multiple conversions simultaneously, we have different teams that can help mitigate delays.

Builders leave rubbish everywhere, don't tidy up after themselves and don't look after my house.

We can’t build a garage conversion without making some mess. But we have a process to ensure that waste and clutter are kept to a minimum and that everything is tidied at the end of the day. We will always treat your home with care.

Completion dates - They never manage expectations.

We have three main pieces of software, Sim Pro, to manage project costs and track purchase orders. Our project management then uses to update trades in real time so that we can plan and see a problem before it happens. We then create a group on what’s an app, so if you are busy, you can send a video, and our whole team will be updated at the same time; we can give you weekly updates, and it keeps our processes in the 21st century. Don’t worry if you don’t do Whats app; our project manager will visit the site multiple times each week, so we can always organise a traditional site visit.
